Our clinical team are in desperate need of a solution to help charge their ultrasound machines. Ultrasound machines are a vital piece of equipment that enable our crew to check for things like:
The existing charging cables for these machines are small and thin, and the crew are experiencing difficulties with them bending. This means it can cause problems for charging. They can break off and get stuck in the machine, which takes it out of action. We need something to keep the cables straight and secure while the machine is on charge. The manufacturer’s alternative would cost the charity a lot of money, at a time when we are already facing a £250,000 deficit in funding.
Find out how you can help our clinical team by watching Air Operations Officer, Pete’s video below.
If you have any design experience or access to 3D printers that could help us come up with a solution to help charge our ultrasounds pictured below then we’d love to hear from you. Please contact us by emailing pr@gwaac.com if you feel you can assist us in any way.
Thank you.
