We’re looking for runners to take on the popular Forest of Dean Spring Trails Half Marathon on Sunday 24th March.
GWAAC were delighted to be chosen as one of this year’s charities for the event and is offering five free spaces for runners to take part with Team GWAAC, raising vital funds for the life-saving charity.
In 2018, our Critical Care Team attended to 49 incidents within the Forest of Dean area, including 21 cardiac arrests and 12 road traffic collisions. As a charity, we rely solely on the generous donations and support of the local community to raise the funds needed to remain operational each year, and events such as the Forest of Dean Spring Trails are a huge part of our fundraising.
The multi-terrain race is set in the heart of the Forest of Dean, following well-maintained trails and attracts around 2,500 runners each year.
If you’re interested in running with Team GWAAC, email Head of Fundraising, Emma Carter on emma.carter@gwaac.com to apply for a free running space (entry usually costs £27). The deadline for entries is 10th March.
