Our bodies perform best when in an environment of 18-21 degrees and clothing made from natural fibres are good for our health
48% of the UK’s homes are heated to 24 degrees - that’s the same temperature as Barbados!
For every degree you reduce your thermostat by, you save around £80 annually. By keeping your heating within the optimum range of 18-21 degrees, not only can you help save the planet, but you can also save yourself money.
Nearly half of us have our heating set to 24 degrees. As a nation, we’re paying £2.32b more for our energy than we need to each year, and we’re generating the same amount of pollution that is creating by 20% of the UK’s cars. While it would be lovely to be on a tropical island, is it worth the cost to our bank balance or planet?
Our two shops in Westbury-on-Trym and Yate are joining the #WearWarm campaign, saving warm winter clothes from landfill and helping you to keep your heating costs down. Just think of it as doing your bit for the environment, twice.
This November, come down to our shops and check out our Wear Warm section. Cosy clothing and accessories to help you to cut heating costs this winter. Don’t go above 21 degrees. To find out more, visit www.wearwarm.co.uk
