Inspiring the next generation of paramedicsOctober 6, 2023
When it comes to supporting a cause, there’s no better feeling than contributing to a local charity. Our recent partnership with Charity Super.Mkt, has provided even more opportunities for people living in and around Bristol to support GWAAC while raising awareness of the work we do in Bristol and the local area.
An Aladdin’s cave
One of the highlights of Charity Super.Mkt, the UK’s first-ever multi-charity shop, is the eclectic selection of items donated by generous individuals and businesses. From vintage clothing to sought-after brands, you never know what hidden gems you might find on the shelves.
In GWAAC's store, you'll also find handcrafted treasures from Little Cotton Clays offering sustainable clay jewellery made by Rachel and Amy Cotton, and handmade crochet items from Evolution Wardrobe by Ellie Toole, with every penny funding our cause!
This has proven too difficult to resist for many local ‘Thrifters’ looking to hunt down the next uncovered treasure at Charity Super.Mkt.
Fashion influencers flood the scene
For someone like Sarah Beadle, a local fashion influencer who posts her charity finds on Instagram, GWAAC's store is exactly her idea of heaven!
"It has that boutique feel which is where I’m most in my element. I gravitate towards unique, one-of-a-kind pieces, especially vintage, so I admire the space and merchandising in your department.” – Sarah Beadle, Instagram Influencer, @thecotswoldcharityshopper.
Courtesy of the generous donations from big brands such as Dickies and Timberland, we’re offering a huge discount of up to 55% against RRP on new stock. So, if you’re in the market for dungarees, overalls or cargo trousers, now’s the perfect time!
Additionally, if you're a student in Bristol, there's no better time to pay a visit to Charity Super.Mkt. Commencing the evening of Friday 29 September for two days, anyone with a student card will receive an additional 10% discount on all items in-store. So, if you want to get your hands on an additional discount all in aid of a good cause, you know where to go.
£17,000 and counting…
Since Charity Super.Mkt opened its doors in August this year, GWAAC has raised a whopping £17,000. And, with one week to go, it’s only going to get higher from here on out! To break this down even further, we brought in over £4,000 within our first week alone. But only you purchasing our items will help us hit the £20,000 mark before Saturday, so head on down!
Don’t miss out!
While GWAAC's presence at Cabot Circus has been for shoppers and supporters alike, all good things must eventually come to an end.
As we prepare to bid farewell to Charity Super.Mkt, we’re also filled with huge gratitude for the time spent in this buzzing location. GWAAC's mission to expand its reach and awareness, all while serving the community with quality goods is only possible with donations you provide.
That is why we’d like to thank Charity Super.Mkt for the amazing platform they’ve provided in supporting GWAAC with our ongoing fundraising endeavours.
Whilst Charity Super.Mkt provided the platform for our temporary central Bristol shop; our astounding success has ultimately been down to the goodwill from our supporters! People from all walks of life have come forward to contribute, whether through donating items, volunteering their time, or simply shopping at the store. This outpouring of support is a testament to the fact that when a community unites for a common cause, incredible things can happen.
Although our time at Charity Super.Mkt is coming to an end, GWAAC's mission to save lives by air or road continues. The funds raised from the shop will go a long way in sustaining the critical work of your local air ambulance service.
So, whether you have or haven't been before, head down to Charity Super.Mkt to pick up some last-minute bargains before it’s too late!
“I think it’s brilliant, having all these incredible charities in one location. I often make a habit of doing ‘charity shop crawls’ going from shop to shop, so this was a dream for me!
