Festive Fun for GWAAC
December 8, 2023
Carmen canoes to fund lifesaving care!
December 15, 2023This December, Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC) is thrilled to be part of the festive cheer in Gloucester. Our Northgate Street shop is hosting one of the wonderful reindeer statues from the enchanting Runaway Reindeer Arts Trail. Gloucester BID has organised the trail, describing it as, “A brilliant free activity for families that features twelve different, 6ft tall reindeer, all customised by brilliant local artists, scattered across the city.”
Each reindeer has a unique look, bringing a burst of colour and creativity to the streets of Gloucester.
Meet Hope, GWAAC’s resident reindeer
Taking pride of place in our Northgate Street shop window is Hope the reindeer. Hope was designed by local artist, Candice Fox, and symbolises, “courage, resilience and the joy of embracing one’s true self.”
Read more about the artist behind the reindeer on Hope’s webpage.
Our participation in the Runaway Reindeer Arts Trail is not just about spreading holiday cheer but also about celebrating the diversity and creativity that make our communities so vibrant.
We’re proud to host Hope during the month of December and we think this wonderful Runaway Reindeer will bring much pleasure to passers-by and visitors to our shop.
Step Inside for a warm welcome
Our friendly staff at our Northgate Street shop can’t wait to welcome people in to meet Hope. While you’re there, take a look around and explore the items we have for sale. Your visit, and any purchases you make, will help support our lifesaving service in Gloucestershire.
