A gift in your Will costs nothing now, but can make a lifesaving difference in the future. If you are considering remembering GWAAC when making or updating your Will, here are some useful bits of information to help.

What information do I need in order to include GWAAC in my Will?
To ensure your gift reaches us, be sure to include the following details:
Registered charity number: 1121300
Charity name: Great Western Air Ambulance Charity
Registered charity address: County Gates, Ashton Road, Bristol BS3 2JH

What type of gift can I leave?
Many people prefer to leave a residuary gift – this is percentage of your estate, calculated after other specific gifts have been distributed. This type of gift can give you reassurance that it will be protected against inflation.
Others prefer to leave a pecuniary gift – this is a fixed amount.

How much should I leave to make a difference?
The amount you choose to give is entirely up to you, and we are immensely grateful for every gift we receive. If you're considering a residuary gift, even 1% can make a difference. Whatever you choose to leave, your support will help us save local lives.
How will my gift be used?
We don’t know exactly what we’ll need in the future, but this is what makes Gifts in Wills so important. Your gift gives us the opportunity to achieve the things that can make the most difference in that moment – things that, right now, we may not even know we need to achieve. We can’t tell you whether that will be a piece of kit, some training for a new lifesaving procedure, investment in research, or even the fuel to help our helicopter fly – what we can tell you is that it will allow us to keep saving lives in the future, for people who urgently need us.
I already have a Will. How do I include GWAAC?
You can add GWAAC into your existing Will by speaking with a solicitor.
Will I pay tax on my gift?
Gifts to charities are exempt from Inheritance Tax, and in some cases can even reduce the amount of tax your estate has to pay. Much more information can be found from HM Revenue & Customs
