Helping you with the loss of a loved one
The death of a loved one can be tough. Though most of us will experience bereavement in our lifetime, each of us will grieve for our loved ones in a different way.
The reality for our crew, our charity staff and the loved ones of our patients is that we can’t always save the life of the person we have reached. We hope that there’s some comfort in knowing that the crew who responded would have done everything they could. Our team are here to help you at this difficult time and are ready to support you, when the time is right for you.
Patient FAQS
It’s common for patients or relatives to want to know what happened to them or their loved one. Memory loss can often occur because of the serious nature of the illness or injury, or because we give our patients advanced medication which can send them to sleep. All situations are different and complex, so we will only ever be able to report what our teams did or saw from the moment they arrived until we handed over the patient at hospital. Be assured that we will listen and help where we can.
No we don’t. We can point you to some excellent support services, and we have listed them below for you.
Yes. It isn’t often that our crew get to hear back from people who they have helped. If you’d like to pass on a message to the crew then please email info@gwaac.com.
