Host: Stuart Goldsmith

Hosting the evening and keeping everyone laughing is Bristol’s own Stuart Goldsmith; host of ‘The Comedian’s Comedian’ podcast and fresh from his win of Best New Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival, Stuart will bring his witty charm and relatable stories to the stage and keep everything ticking along.

Headliner: Angela Barnes

Angela Barnes swapped a career in health and social care for stand up in 2010 and hasn’t looked back.

Within just a couple of years she had won the BBC New Comedy Award in 2011 and has since toured the UK, become a regular guest in Mock the Week, and starred on Live at the Apollo.

Angela mixes warm autobiographical material with plenty of strong jokes. She is very confident in the way she attacks her one liners and punch lines, her easy going manner really draws audiences in. Angela is great fun and definitely one to watch.

Celya AB

Originally from Paris, Celya AB stands out as a dynamic stand-up comedian, commanding attention with her captivating stage presence and brilliantly crafted material.

Her performances have not only earned critical acclaim but have also resulted in sold-out runs and tours at prestigious venues and festivals, including the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2022/2023 and Soho Theatre.

She won Chortle Best Newcomer in 2022 and was Funny Women finalist. Celya has left her mark on notable shows such as Live At The Apollo and Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster.

Jin Hao Li

Jin Hao Li was nominated for a Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards for his debut hour, "Swimming in a Submarine".

Made in China and marinated in Singapore, Jin Hao is a comedy writer, and performer. Loved and feared for his dry wit, gritty softness, and surreal energy, he quickly became a Chortle Student Finalist, BBC New Comedy Awards Finalist, and was accepted into the Pleasance Comedy Reserve 2023.

Laura Lexx

Born and bred in the home county of Somerset, Laura’s comfy demeanour, warmth and energy delightfully juxtapose her biting wit, brutal honesty and viral audience take downs.

Dani Johns

Quick witted, brutally honest and full of Bristolian charm, Dani's energetic mix of storytelling and oversharing has captivated audiences and led her to her first solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival! 

She has taken the comedy circuit by storm in recent years. Johns, who is the resident co-host of Smoke & Mirrors and runs a monthly gig at North Street Standard, is a real growing comedy force and has written for the Guardian as well as being named as “One of Bristol’s Most Influential Women” by Bristol Live in 2022.

Jordan Brookes

Jordan won the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Comedy Show at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe with his hit show I’ve Got Nothing. He was also nominated for the same award in 2017 and won the Chortle Comedian’s Comedian Award in 2018.

As well as being a critically acclaimed comedian Jordan is also an actor and writer, with numerous projects in development for TV and radio. Recently, he created his own series of shorts for Channel 4.
