We at Great Western Air Ambulance (GWAAC) want to say a huge thanks to everyone who raised money for us with fantastic Harvest Festival events this season. We are truly astounded by the overwhelming generosity of our community.
With special thanks to The Dog House, in Cinderford, The Rising Sun, in Bream, Sophie Price and The Woolaston Inn, Gurkha Restaurant & Bar, in Woolaston, and everyone who kindly supported the events. In total, these events raised nearly £5,500 for our lifesaving service, enough to fund more than two missions.
The Harvest Festivals showcased wonderful offerings from local farms, businesses and individuals with auctions featuring hand crafted gifts, colossal loaves of bread and even a pool cue.
Nicolle Farthing, GWAAC Supporter and Engagement Officer, said: “I recently joined GWAAC and am amazed by the creative ways in which people unite to support us. The Harvest Festivals were such a fun way to celebrate the quality and diversity of producers in the local area. Everyone I spoke to is touched by the incredible work of our air ambulance and passionate about raising money to help us provide vital critical care and save more lives.”
