Thank you for making the incredible decision to support your local air ambulance.
We’ve teamed up with Gloucestershire Scouts and Avon Scouts to produce two wonderful opportunities for the Scouts across our region to learn about and support their local air ambulance.
Here at GWAAC, we know how important it is for young people to feel empowered to make a positive contribution to society and what better way to do that than having the skills that will help them should they ever be faced with someone going through what could be the worst day of their life.
The GWAAC Challenge Badge
Aimed at Cubs, the Challenge Badge has been designed to give Cubs an in-depth knowledge of their local air ambulance, completing activities over a 4 to 6 week period of time.
The GWAAC Challenge Badge had been divided into four sections, where they will be able to learn about our helicopter, our crew, what to do in a medical emergency, and will have the opportunity to help raise vital funds to keep us flying.
In order to receive their challenge badge, your group members will need to complete each section.
The GWAAC Fundraising Badge
GWAAC is a charity, and we couldn’t do what we do without our generous fundraisers. Every penny and pound that is raised makes sure that together, we can continue saving lives in our communities.
The GWAAC Fundraising Badge has been designed for those groups that have already completed or are yet to complete our Challenge Badge but would still like to continue to provide invaluable support to their local air ambulance.
In order to receive their fundraising badge, your group members will need to plan and undertake a fundraising activity in aid of Great Western Air Ambulance Charity.
