We are called to around 500 patients experiencing a cardiac arrest each year. We bring advanced equipment, treatment options and decision-making skills. Despite all this, we know that the care received before we arrive can save that patient's life. We call it the Chain of Survival , and it's our mission is to put lifesaving capabilities in the hands of as many people as possible in our community. Through teaching CPR to people of all ages, and by placing more defibrillators across our region, we can ensure vital early care is received by more people suffering cardiac arrests - saving lives before we arrive.

CPR training
Our Heartstarters programme teaches CPR and defibrillation to schools and community groups across our region. We want to teach 10,000 people these lifesaving skills every year.
