Portishead Carnival

Portishead Carnival is a true community event that relies on the community spirit of the town and the help and support given by many organisations and individuals.

Taking place on Saturday 14th June 2025, the carnival field is going back to its roots. The big expensive fairground rides will be going and will be replaced with as many community groups as possible, making their own games and raising funds for their own organisations and good causes.

Whether it’s a throw a wet sponge at a councillor or teacher stall, or a traditional coconut shy; a giant spin the arrow on a board to win a prize or a roll the ball in to a bucket; the aim is fun activities at reasonable prices. The field will also support charities, small local businesses, traders, crafters and makers.

One of the day’s highlights is expected to be the big carnival It’s A Knock Out competition, sponsored by Mark’s Barbers. Safe, fun and incredibly entertaining, everyone is invited to put a team together with friends and family members of all ages and fitness levels, to join in the wacky and wonderful challenges we have planned.
