Most of our shops are open Monday to Saturday between 09:00 and 17:00, excluding bank holidays.

Gloucester Southgate is the only exception, opening Tuesday to Saturday between 09:00 and 17:00, excluding bank holidays.

Do you accept donations?

Answer

Absolutely! Your donations keep our shops stocked and our lifesaving missions thriving.

While we truly appreciate every donation, there are some restrictions on what we can accept. For the safety and welfare of our team, there may be times when we’re unable to accept some or all of your items due to limited space in our sorting area. If this happens, please speak to a member of staff who can advise when we’ll next be able to take your donations.

Do my donations from a recycling bank go to a GWAAC shop?

Answer

No, they don't go to our shops. Instead, we receive an agreed percentage of the sale from the recycled materials dropped off at our recycling banks. Clothing is sorted by type and quality, with resellable items sent to second-hand shops or markets in Europe, Africa, or India - Find out more about our recycling banks here.

Do you offer a donation pick-up service?

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer a donation pick up service at any of our shops. As a small team, we do not have the capacity to provide this service at this moment in time.

Do you offer Gift Aid on donations?

Answer

Yes, in fact, we encourage it! If you are a taxpayer, when you register your donation with Gift Aid in-store, we can claim 25% from HMRC from the value of your donation sales.

Do you have an online shop?

Yes, we have a range of GWAAC merchandise on our online store. Additionally, we also sell donated goods on eBay.

Do you have changing rooms?

Answer

We aim to have changing facilities available in all our stores for your convenience. If you need to know before you visit, please contact the shop in advance.

Do you have volunteering opportunities?

Do you offer any discounts or promotions?

Answer

We collaborate with partners, promoting their full price merchandise, but do not run sales or in-season discounting. We carefully price our clothing and products to give you the best value from the outset.
