Heli Laughs 22 lineup

It brings us great pleasure to announce the lineup for our second night of comedy, Heli Laughs. 

On Monday 5 December, a host of award winning comedians from Bristol and beyond will deliver laughs that will help save lives in your community.

Stuart Goldsmith

Compering the event is Stuart Goldsmith; brought up in Bristol, Goldsmith was trained in theatre school and briefly worked as a court jester in Warwick Castle. The comedian has been a regular at Edinburgh Fringe, appeared on several television shows and presents the comedy podcast ‘The Comedian’s Comedian’ that has featured the likes of Russell Brand, Stewart Lee and Patton Oswald.

Matt Richardson

Multi award-winning stand-up comedian Matt Richardson started performing at 18 years old, making him one of the youngest comedians in the circuit at the time. A frequent performer at the Edinburgh Fringe and a fixture at all the major comedy clubs in the UK he also has many TV appearances under his belt, including co-hosting the Xtra Factor (ITV), Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC Two), Celebrity Juice (ITV), and I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Now! (ITV2).

Dani Johns

Bristol funny woman Dani Johns will also be in attendance. She has taken the comedy circuit by storm in recent years. Johns, who is the resident co-host of Smoke & Mirrors and runs a monthly gig at North Street Standard, is a real growing comedy force and has written for the Guardian as well as being named as “One of Bristol’s Most Influential Women” by Bristol Live this year.
Priya Hall – circle

Priya Hall

Priya Hall is a comedian and writer who is quickly making a name for herself in the England and Wales comedy scene, Hall has become a BBC regular and has written and starred in a new BBC 2 Wales pilot ‘Beena and Amrit’.

She has featured on BBC Presents: Stand up for Live Comedy (BBC One & Three), Fred At The Stand (BBC Radio 4), Mach Fest (BBC Radio Wales), Stand Yp (S4C), and Hunllef yng Nghymru Sydd (BBC Radio Cymru).

Her comedy has been described as “hilariously oversharing” (Bristol 24/7) which is all fun and games but frequently gets her into trouble with her mum.
Morgan Rees

Morgan Rees

Morgan Rees is a comedian, actor, writer for Mock the Week. A rising star of the UK circuit. This softly spoken Welsh comedian boasts a densely packed arsenal of impressive one-liners and hilarious short stories. He has appeared on BBC Radio 4 in the prestigious finals of the BBC New Comedy Award. He was also a runner-up in So You Think You’re Funny 2017, and a finalist in Chortle Student Comedy Award.
Pravanya Pillay – circle

Pravanya Pillay

Described by Funny Women as “hilarious” Pravanya delivers surreal, observational comedy from a unique perspective. She recently came joint-third in the prestigious 'So You Think You're Funny' competition and is the co-host and producer of Party - a trans/non-binary/female comedy night described by LMAOnaise as “the country’s finest night” and featured in The Guardian.

Firuz Ozari

We are really excited to have Firuz perform at Heli Laughs! Just this year he was named the Leicester Mercury Comedian Of The Year, an award previously won by household names such as Romesh Ranganathan, Rhod Gilbert, Jason Manford and Johhny Vegas. We cant wait to see him take to the stage at Heli Laughs!
