About the Nailsea Rotary Charity Walk and Run
Have fun walking or running 5K, 10K, or 20K through our local town and countryside, raising money for GWAAC. The main event takes place on Sunday 11 June but if that date doesn’t suit you then you can do it at any time up to the end of July!
The event is suitable for all ages and levels of fitness, with the shortest walk being suitable for disability vehicles and pushchairs / strollers, whereas we challenge the fittest to run the 20K.
The Routes
1. The Nailsea 5K “The Stroll”. At 5 kilometers (approx. 3 miles) on footpaths around Nailsea, this may appeal to families and is intended to be an easy fun walk – or a not too taxing fun run to start the day! It is pushchair/stroller, wheelchair and disability vehicle friendly.
2. The Nailsea 10K . At 10 kilometres (approx 6 miles) mainly in the surrounding countryside, this is for people who would prefer a route that is longer and slightly more challenging.
3. The Nailsea 20K Challenge At 20 kilometres (approx 12 miles) mainly in the surrounding countryside, this is for the more experienced who are fit and who like more of a challenge.
Fundraising for GWAAC
Once you have signed up to run or walk you can go ahead and start collecting donations for GWAAC! Drop our Events Manager, Charlie, and email to receive a welcome pack and GWAAC walking vest (when you raise £20) – charlie.rowen@gwaac.com
