After our successful first run of GWAAC abseils in 2021, we decided to to take things up a level (literally!) for 2022!
Get a head for heights and feel what our crew go through every time they take off in our helicopter! This time our abseil is 50% higher than last years – a whole 150ft high!
Take on the 150ft high cliff, marvel at the amazing views, and support your local air ambulance all at the same time.
Don’t worry if you haven’t done anything like this before, our expert instructors will put you at ease and ensure you are fully prepared for the challenge!
If you have any questions about the event, please email our events coordinator, Charlie: charlie.rowen@gwaac.com
Sandford Quarry, Quarry Road, Winscombe, BS25 5RN.
Sunday 8th May, 10:00 – 12:30
£25 registration fee and a minimum fundraising target of £130. Your registration fee goes towards covering the cost of putting on the event, meaning that as much of your fundraising as possible goes towards keeping our service operational.
We will assist you with setting up a fundraising page and give you tips on how to hit your target.
All abseiling equipment is provided. You will be fully briefed and trained before taking on the abseil. All you’ll need to bring are warm comfortable clothes, some snacks and drinks, and as many supportive friends and family members as you like!
There are cafés nearby in Winscombe that will be open for hot drinks and food.
