We’re delighted to announce that GWAAC has received over £9,000 from the special Bristol-based comedy night, Belly Laughs At Home.

On Sunday 10^th May thousands of people from all over the country joined together for an evening of Belly Laughs At Home – an online event to celebrate Bristol and raise money for GWAAC and three other fantastic local causes. The event was a collaboration between GWAAC, FairShare South West, Julian Trust, Bristol Old Vic, alongside Mark Olver and Alex Ryder, the duo behind the Bristol-based charity comedy night, Belly Laughs.

With an initial target of £5,000 – we are delighted to announce that the total raised from the evening was a huge £36,045 for the four charities, meaning GWAAC’s share was just over £9,000 with more than 5,000 people tuning in to watch the show.

This money will make a huge difference to the lives of those in need across the region – and comes at a time when our community support is needed more than ever. Thank you to everyone who supported the event, and donated to our fundraising total.
