  • navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

Technical information about this website’s accessibility

Our organisation is committed to making our website accessible to all visitors, in line with regional regulations and we aim for conformance with the WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1) at level AA.

Compliance status

The website has been tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.

Non-accessible content

  1. Some images do not have a text alternative, so people using a screen reader cannot access the information. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.1.1 (non-text content).

We plan to add text alternatives for all images by September 2027. When we publish new content we’ll make sure our use of images meets accessibility standards.
  2. Some older videos do not have captions. When we publish new videos, we ensure they all have closed captions, embedded captions or downloadable transcripts.
  3. Some PDF documents are not accessibility compliant. Future PDF uploads will all be WGAG 2.2 compliant.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

As we produce new content, we will continue to review its accessibility. We will also periodically review our website and fix any issues. If you have any suggestions or requests, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone (0303 4444 999) or email: pr@gwaac.com.
